  1. Go to https://www.irisshaders.dev/download and click on ‘Download Universal jar’ (you will need java installed on your computer, if you don’t have java, visit https://www.java.com/en/download/ie_manual.jsp).
  2. Open the downloaded file, you will get a warning of potential issues due to the file being an executable. You can ignore it and open it.
  3. Once the program is open, the correct version of Minecraft Java should be selected and you can click on ‘Install’.
    1. If you have never opened Minecraft Java Edition, you should do at least once before launching the Iris installer
  4. Once Iris has finished installing, you should see it on your Minecraft Launcher, if not, restart the launcher:
  1. Launch the game by accepting the risk that will pop up
  2. Once inside the game, join the server and press ‘Esc’, go to ‘Options’, ‘Video Settings’, ‘Shader Packs’
  3. Visit this site to download the ‘Complementary Unbound’ shader pack. Once downloaded, simply drag and drop the compressed file into the ‘Shader Packs’ window open in the Minecraft game
